Accounts that keep up with the mill floor
Once approved, every wheat purchase, sale and payment posts to double-entry accounts. Your party ledgers, trial balance and GST returns data are ready without re-typing the day’s work into another system.

Sound familiar?
The same entry typed twice
Purchases and sales are written in registers on the floor, then entered again into accounting software at night.
Party balances never match
Vendors, arhatiyas and buyers each have a different idea of the balance, and settling it takes a call and a register.
GST returns prepared in a rush
Invoice data is collected at the end of the month from different places before GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B can be prepared.
The accountant sees everything
Whoever keeps the books needs full access to the system, whether or not they should see the rest of the mill’s data.
What GrainTech does
Double-entry accounts
Chart of accounts, vouchers, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and day book, built from the entries your team already makes.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B prepared
Return data is prepared from your invoices and exported as JSON, Excel or PDF. You or your CA file it on the GST portal.
GST invoices
Sales invoices with the CGST and SGST or IGST split worked out from the buyer’s state.
Party ledgers and settlements
Payables and receivables for every vendor, arhatiya and buyer, with payments and receipts matched to bills, and advances.
Tally export for your CA
Sales, raw material entries, mandi purchases and production export as XML for import into Tally.
Access by role
Give the accountant access to accounts and reports only. Each user sees what their role allows.
How it works
- 01
Your team enters the day’s work
Purchases, sales, dispatches and payments are recorded where they happen.
- 02
Approved entries post to accounts
When a bill or payment is approved, it posts to the right accounts, so the ledgers stay current without a second round of typing.
- 03
Check balances any time
Party ledgers, trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet are available whenever you need them.
- 04
Prepare returns at month end
Export GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data for filing, and the Tally XML if your CA works in Tally.
Questions mill owners ask
Do I still need Tally or my CA?
Your CA still reviews and files. If they work in Tally, GrainTech exports sales, raw material entries, mandi purchases and production as XML for import.
Does GrainTech file my GST returns?
No. It prepares GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data and exports it as JSON, Excel or PDF. Filing is done on the GST portal by you or your CA.
How are payments matched to bills?
When you record a payment or receipt, you settle it against the party’s open bills, and the ledger shows what remains due.
Can the accountant see only the accounts?
Yes. Roles decide what each user can see and do, so the accountant can have access to accounts and reports only.
Is our financial data kept private?
Each mill’s data sits in its own isolated database, separate from every other mill using GrainTech.
